PEEF endeavors to provide programming related to educational issues that would be of interest for Pearce parents. In the past, we've had Fireside Chats for each core department at Pearce so those teachers can discuss the curriculum, course offerings and other issues related to that department. Now that Pearce is offering Instructional Showcase in February, the departments can present that information at that forum. PEEF is now working to provide other topical programs for our parents.
In October, 2016, PEEF presented "What I Wish I'd Known about the College Admissions Process," a discussion panel: by parents, for parents. This program was very well received and we hope you will read the summary presented under the tab to the left. We admit this program wasn't as intimate as a Fireside Chat held in someone's home, but we had almost 100 parents attend so the auditorium was a much better space!
We are currently working on programming for freshman families that will provide a road map for high school parents planning to send their student to college.
STAY TUNED...!!!
Is there a fee to attend? There is no fee to attend, but we ask parents to donate $10 to PEEF to help support our programming and offset the cost of refreshments. Of course, we'd love for parents to contribute even more, as the funds collected for each program benefits our school.
